It’s that time of year again! Graduating Seniors everywhere are counting down the days until exams are over and they can celebrate the close of their college experience and welcome their next chapter. For a lot of graduates, this means navigating the professional world of job interviews, salary negotiations, and workplace etiquette.
To help with this transition, Bob Smith and Jerry Knight met with the graduating seniors from Kappa Sigma, Pi Sigma Chapter at Salisbury University. There was a terrific turnout at the second annual event including the 2018 ZGK Foundation award recipient, Arjun Shaw. (First row, first from left).
Bob and Jerry discussed challenges and gave pointers to help young professionals with networking, preparing for interviews, productive interviewing, and assimilating into your first professional position. Bob and Jerry focused on insights that are not commonly taught. Things like: effective ways to follow up after an interview or when someone helps in your professional career, and ideas about how to quickly build a relationship with your new boss.
The Kappa Sigma brothers enjoyed the evening and suggested that Bob and Jerry continue meeting with seniors and bestowing real world knowledge.
Congratulations, Class of 2019!
